The course starts by introducing participants to the general concepts and practices of programming, problem solving, and design using pseudo code. It then introduces Python syntax, enabling participants to write simple Python programs using variables, arithmetic and logical operations, conditional statements, loops, and functions. The course also gives a brief introduction about more advanced topics such as object oriented programming, external modules, and writing functional software to solve real life problems.
